Are you interested in getting to see a traditional Austrian town? The ESN Sections of BFI, FH Wien WKW, BOKU und Technikum are excited to invite you to a day trip to one of the most idyllic villages our country has to offer: Hallstatt!
It is famous for its scenic landscape and historic buildings, including the well known chapel of the town and the "Beinhaus", which we will visit.

We will depart from Vienna in the morning of Saturday the 7th of May with our chartered bus. After arriving in Hallstatt at noon, we have reserved tables in the traditional Austrian restaurant "Lobisser" for lunch.

After lunch, we will have a city tour - including a trip to the chapel's "Beinhaus", which displays traditionally decorated skulls of deceased villagers - a popular way of preserving the deceased, which has been used over many centuries.

After getting to know the town, there will be some time left to explore it individually - souvenirs can be bought and it is possible to rent a boat and ride through the lake that is located rigth next to the town. If we have good weather you can even go for a swim.

Afterwards, our private bus will take us back to Vienna, where we will arrive at approximately half past ten.
We can't wait to show you one of the most beautiful villages our country has to offer!
